Nick Lahoika is the co-founder and CEO of Vocal Image, a coaching startup that helps people develop soft skills. A serial entrepreneur with more than 10 years of experience in IT and business development, Nick successfully exited two ventures before creating Vocal Image. Nick’s journey is deeply personal; he was bullied for unclear diction at school, which inspired his mission to help people communicate better. After being forced to flee his home country following the 2020 revolution, Nick arrived in Estonia with minimal command of English and used his own app to train his voice, securing his first round of funding within just six months. The winner of the AWS AI Challenge and Meta x Hugging Face European AI Startup Program, Vocal Image, recently raised a $3.6M seed round led by Educapital (France) and scaled to over $16M ARR. Vocal Image is a soft skills AI coaching platform. Founded by a Belarusian team in Estonia with experience at Prisma Labs, Maps.me, Joom and Bolt, the platform uses a proprietary dataset of over one million unique human voices to deliver AI-powered coaching across 19 vocal traits, from clarity and confidence to emotional nuance.
